Ladyhawke - Black White & Blue (Treasure Fingers Remix)

The original song gets a lot of airplay on our local radio and always cheers me up. I really like Ladyhawke's single, every single one of them. Still this remix managed to surprise me by storm. Yes, I like Ladyhawke and yes, Treasure Fingers had some really nice stuff out before. But hey, how good do remixes get! This one has such an incredible positive vibe, such a lovely melody and such a funky bassline. Yes, I'm in love. Best uptempo (125+) dancesong for me in 2012, I guess.

Light Year - Moderation

I discovered this some time ago, when I was checking out Beatport to see if I hadn't missed any significant dance-releases in the "indie/nu disco"-section. Most stuff I discover through other blogs and twitter, but somehow I completely missed out about this one. Glad I still got to see this, because both the music and video blew me right away. Doesn't surprise me Tensnake is spinning this...

Philosophy of Sound - Freedom, What For? (A.N.D.Y. Remix)

Until two months ago I hadn't heard of either Philosophy of Sound or A.N.D.Y., but things are different now. This surely is one of my favourite releases of this year so far. Apparently Philosophy of Sound is a Melbourne-based duo, however one of the guys originating from Poland. For some reason Melbourne is really one of those places on the globe to watch out for when it comes to electronic dance music. The label Discotexas is one I need to check out more as well. Little Boots - Every Night I Say A Prayer (Tensnake Remix)

From now on I'll try to blog about my favourite dancetracks and what's a better way to start than a new remix by Tensnake, one of the producers who has been inspiring me a lot over the recent years. The synths in this remix remind me a lot of some Annie-tracks from 2005, which is a nice association. Glad to see Little Boots back in town too! I really loved her 'Stuck on Repeat' and her Magical Tropical Mixtape some years ago.
